I'm not trolling, it's a legitimate question. If it isn't allowed, I'll take it down. Thanks for your consideration

When you question whether something is appropriate, it's not.  You already think it can be offensive.

Without discussing "appropriateness", the slung firearm is almost certainly a violation of Anthrocon rules.

To avoid problems with parents, read this FAQ and all its internal links before discussing Furry with your parents:

He doesn't intend to bring the firearm, but thanks for pointing that out

https://forums.anthrocon.org/node/11/anthrocon-standards-conduct-v40#weapons
"Weapons Policy
No actual weapons or any item that can be easily mistaken for one may be carried either openly or concealed at any time in convention space, regardless of any government permits which you may possess. Exceptions may be made only for duly appointed law enforcement officers by prior arrangement with the Security Chief. Personal pocket knives with single-edged blades less than 4 inches long are permitted."

https://forums.anthrocon.org/faq/security#weapons
"Can I carry a fake weapon at the con?

To avoid alarming anyone and to avoid any unnecessary injuries, we have a strict policy regarding weapons. No real weapons, nor anything that can easily be mistaken for a weapon at a distance, can be carried at Anthrocon. In other words, if it looks like a weapon capable of harming someone, we don't want you carrying it. "

The general policy on uniforms is that obviously fictional ones are fine (Starfleet, Empire) but uniforms of actual military organizations are only permissible if a person is in that organization and thus is entitled to wear it. (So, SS uniforms, for example, are out since they're neither fictional nor is anyone in the group now.) Keep in mind that- should you be entitled to wear a uniform- the military organization may have rules restricting you from wearing their uniforms at AC.

That probably covers all your questions.
